May 11, 2020 is the deadline to register to vote for the June 9, 2020 State Primary Election

Vote by Absentee Ballot

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic we recommend you vote by absentee ballot. 

You should have already received an absentee ballot by mail.  If you have not, you can download it HERE.

You must sign and return the application to the Voter Registrations and Elections Office before an absentee ballot is issued. Voters can submit the application using one of the following methods:

  • Scan and email: absentee@gwinnettcounty.com
  • Fax: 678.226.7275 or 678.226.7208
  • Deliver in-person or mail to: Voter Registrations and Elections Division office at 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200, Lawrenceville

. Upon receipt of the ballot, fill out your selections, sign and date it. Return the completed ballot with the instructions provided. 

Questions and Answers about the June 9, 2020 Primary

Q. I already voted in the Presidential Primary.  What will my ballot look like?
A.  Your ballot will only have the local and state races on it. No Presidential candidates.

Q.  I didn’t get to vote in the Presidential Primary.  Will I get to do it on June 9?
AYes,  Your ballot will contain all the candidates for the Presidential Preference Primary along with the state and local races.

Q.  Whom should I call if I have problems with my absentee ballot?
A.  Call the GA Democratic Party Voter Protection hot line at  1-888-730-5816

Q. Who counts the ballots?
A.  Each election office in each county counts the votes and those totals are uploaded to the state. The counting has always been at the county level.

This is the only opportunity you will have to vote for the Judges for Gwinnett County unless there are run-offs
